Craft pizza and beer parlor Pies & Pints coming to the Banks

CINCINNATI — Pies & Pints, an eatery that focuses on craft pizza and beer, is coming to Phase II of the Banks this summer.

Pies & Pints will have more than 30 craft beers, including MadTree and Rhinegeist, on tap. The food menu will include gourmet pizzas, appetizers, salads, sandwiches and desserts. The Fayetteville, West Virginia-based chain opened its first Greater Cincinnati location at Liberty Center in Liberty Township in November.

The restaurant will join Taste of Belgium in the expansion of the mixed-use riverfront project just west of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. It is the fourth new tenant announced by the Banks' developer Carter since December. Florida-based hamburger chain BurgerFi and Tervis, an insulated drinkware manufacturer, plan to open in Phase I of the Banks in the second quarter of this year. The Stretch bar by 4EG is slated to open in October.

“Pies & Pints is a perfect addition to The Banks,” said Dan McCarthy, project executive for Carter, in a news release. “Gourmet pizza is a fast-growing segment and Cincinnati’s craft beer industry is exploding. Put those trends together with the great energy we already have at the Banks and you get an ideal match.”

“There is so much positive momentum happening at the Banks right now and we know our new location will flourish here,” said Rob Lindeman, co-owner of Pies & Pints. “The Banks has a great combination of corporate offices, residential living and strong retail, not to mention the close proximity to Great American Ball Park, Paul Brown Stadium and Smale Riverfront Park. Pies & Pints will be right in the middle of the action.”

The restaurant will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
