ASSUMPTION PARISH, La. - It looked like a scene from a movie when a sinkhole swallowed a group of trees underwater in Louisiana this week.
Video of the incident was shot Wednesday, but the sinkhole first appeared last year in Assumption Parish, La.
It forced a mandatory evacuation in that area.
Since then, state and federal agencies have been monitoring it. That's why cameras were already rolling when the sinkhole swallowed the trees.
