WICHITA FALLS, Texas - A woman who was unaware she was pregnant delivered a baby in the bathroom of a gas station.
First responders were called just before 9 p.m. Thursday to Murphy Gas Station in Wichita Falls, Texas for a welfare-check call. Wichita Falls Police Public Information Officer Brandie Banda said a woman was getting fuel and became ill.
She said she went to the restroom and delivered the baby in the toilet. Banda said the woman reported to police she was not aware she was pregnant.
The baby was breathing when first responders arrived. The baby was rushed to an emergency room by ambulance and the police said an incident report was taken and is under investigation.
The woman’s name was not released.
