Those who are holiday-obsessed are looking online to find their favorite seasonal flicks. The following are the top-searched holiday movies on Yahoo!.

10. “Miracle on 34th Street” – The classic dates back to 1947. In it, an attorney represents Santa Claus to prove he isn’t just an insane old man who thinks he is the real Kris Kringle.

9. “Love Actually” – Following the lives of eight couples, this 2003 hit focuses on the frantic month before Christmas. It is set in London, England and stars Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson and a slew of other Hollywood notables.

8. “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” – Clark Griswold’s disastrous holiday plans for his family have provided laughter for years. The comedic film debuted in 1989 and grossed more than $11.7 million in its first weekend, coming in second behind “Back to the Future II.”

7. “A Christmas Story” – A tight-wad called Scrooge is led on an eye-opening adventure by three ghosts in this story penned by Charles Dickens and published in 1843. Since then, the tale has been performed on stage and made into movies, including a 2009 release from Disney starring Jim Carrey.

6. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” – Jim Carrey also appears in one of the more recent versions of this classic. The Dr. Seuss tale is a children’s story told in rhymed verse and was published as a book by Random House in 1957. In it, the grumpy, green creature steals Christmas presents from the residents of Whoville, but later learns to love them, and the holiday.

5. “White Christmas” – Snow, snow, snow, snow! Two talented brothers take their musical talents to Vermont and prepare a performance to help revive a dreary resort and support an ex-Army general. Relationships are formed with the ladies they followed there, and while snow is absent (causing the lodge’s downturn), it later falls for the happy ending. “White Christmas” debuted in 1954 and the song of the same name is the best selling single of all time, according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

4. “It’s a Wonderful Life” – In this 1946 film, George Bailey is deeply troubled and contemplates committing suicide. An angel appears and helps him figure out some things. He decides he wants to live and celebrates Christmas realizing his life is wonderful. Bailey is played by actor Jimmy Stewart.

3. “Home Alone” – Two burglars are thwarted from taking the belongings of the McCalister family, who took off for France and accidentally left little Kevin home by himself. Kevin heroically defends his home and the family returns in time to celebrate Christmas together. The comedic film was released in 1990 and stars Macaulay Culkin and Joe Pesci.

2. “A Christmas Story” – Those who put their tongues to cold flag poles to see if they would stick were likely inspired by a scene from “A Christmas Story.” The comedy about a boy named Ralph who wants a BB gun for Christmas is so popular, the network TBS annually airs it in a 24-hour marathon. The film was released in 1983.

1. “Elf” – Will Ferrell plays this most beloved Christmas character that leaves the North Pole to search of his true identity. He encounters cynics and spreads Christmas cheer, transforming hearts. The movie was released in 2003 and grossed more than $200 million worldwide.
