No shooter was found following a lockdown at the U.S. Navy Yard in Washington D.C., where gun shots were reported Thursday morning.
Law enforcement officials searched the area seeking a possible gunman, but did not find one, according to DecodeDC reporters at the scene. No one was injured.
The lockdown began around 8 a.m. ET and was cleared shortly before 10 a.m.
In 2013, a shooter killed 12 people at the Navy Yard. The shooter died during that incident.
The Washington Navy Yard is located in Southeast Washington D.C. and is the oldest shore establishment of the U.S. Navy.
