Salt Lake City released body camera video on Wednesday of an officer-involved shooting in August, which resulted in the death of Patrick Harmon, 50.

The Salt Lake Tribune reported that Harmon was shot and killed by police on Aug. 13 as Harmon was trying to escape arrest.

Officers pulled Harmon over on a traffic stop on the evening of Aug. 13. When asked to identify himself, Harmon gave police a name that did not match a police database, the Tribune reported. The District Attorney claimed that Harmon gave police several different names.

When the officer returned, he informed Harmon that he might have a felony warrant. After officers confirmed that Harmon was wanted on a felony warrant, he tried to beg with officers not to arrest him.

He then took off, and seconds later, was shot by officers.

The Tribune reported that one officer used a stun gun on Harmon, while Officer Clinton Fox fired bullets. Harmon later died from his injuries.

The local district attorney claimed that the shooting was justified as a knife was found on the ground near Harmon was shot.
