The ex-BenGal cheerleader and former Northern Kentucky teacher who admitted to having sex with one of her students will reportedly be the star of her own reality TV show, according to reports from Radar Online.
Radar Online said in a story published Friday that according to an insider, 495 Productions has courted Jones and given her a reality TV show. 498 Productions is the team behind MTV's "Jersey Shore."
"A lot of people are going to be outraged I imagine when they find out she's getting a show," the insider said in the Radar Online atricle. "She is basically being rewarded for breaking the law!"
Her attorney, Eric Deters, says the reports are not true.
Calls to 495 Productions were not returned as of Friday afternoon.
Sarah Jones, a 27-year-old former BenGal cheerleader, pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct and custodial interference with 17-year-old student, Cody York.
York was a student in Jones' class in 2008 and engaged in sexual activity with her while still attending Dixie Heights High School where Jones was a teacher. York is now 18 years old.
Jones will serve a total of five years probation, and the misdemeanor sexual misconduct charge will stay on her record permanently. She is not required to serve any jail time. As part of her plea deal, the text messages in case will be sealed. Jones also agreed to never apply for another teaching position.
Jones' mother, former school principle Cheryl Armstrong Jones, also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of attempted tampering with evidence. She admitted that she had sent York a text message telling him to get rid of his phone.
