CINCINNATI -- Kroger is warning its customers of a hoax being spread over social media during the holiday season.
According to a company spokesperson, there is an unauthorized "$250 Kroger Gift Card Giveaway" circulating around Facebook.
Kroger has nothing to do with the apparent giveaway, the spokesperson said, and recommends customers ignore it.
Kroger advises never giving out personal information in case an offer is phony.
