CINCINNATI - A driver and his passenger sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash in West Price Hill Sunday.
Police say the motorcyclist was trying to pass a vehicle on Covedale Avenue in West Price Hill when he lost control, sideswiping a parked Ford Taurus. The driver and his passenger overturned before finally coming to a stop. Both the driver and passenger were found in the driveways of two different homes when police arrived.
Police said the driver is in serious condition while the passenger is in stable condition at University Hospital.
The driver and passenger were not wearing helmets, according to police.
Nearby resident Tom White used to drive a motorcycle. He said people need to become more responsible and wear a helmet before they get on a motorcycle or they are asking for a death sentence.
"When I was 18 years old, I was going to get my license," he said. "I pulled in front of a semi, but I was wearing a helmet. I would not be standing here telling you this story today."
Covedale Avenue residents said they are fired up as too many accidents have been happening on the road because of speeders. They want police to do something about it.
