Man charged for allegedly shooting, killing woman in Northside

CINCINNATI - A 44-year-old man was arrested and charged for allegedly shooting a woman to death in the Northside nearly two weeks ago.

Around 4 a.m. on Nov. 18, police responded to the 4300 block of Beech Hill Avenue after someone called police saying they had just witnessed a shooting.

When police arrived, they found a woman lying in the grass outside a home. The Hamilton County coroner pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The victim was later identified as 20-year-old Candace DeMoss.

Police arrested and charged Carlos Richardson, 44, with murder Tuesday evening for allegedly killing DeMoss.

No other details on Richardson's arrest have been released. It is not clear if Richardson knew the victim prior to the shooting at this time.
