Traffic is tied up on the Norwood Lateral after a woman was shot as many as seven times in Evanston Wednesday night.
Police were called to the 1500 block of Dana Avenue just before 9 p.m. and found the woman inside a car.
Police were searching for the shooting suspect, who they were told fled the scene in a black Hyundai.
9News has learned the shooting suspect may have been hit by two vehicles after he tried to escape from the getaway car on the Norwood Lateral, where at least two vehicles have crashed.
