FRANKLIN TWP., Ohio -- An 87-year-old woman was hit by a motorcycle as she walked to her mailbox Saturday.
Police say Leah Wideman was struck around 1 p.m. on Vail Road.
The motorcyclist, John Goonan, attempted to stop, but the motorcycle fell on its side striking Wideman while she was in the roadway.
A medical helicopter sent her to Miami Valley Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
