Four alleged prostitutes were arrested in a Fort Wright hotel after police contacted them using Craigslist.
"We've been seeing more problems in the area of our hotels, more drug activity more prostitution," said Chief Dan Kreinest, of the Fort Wright police department.
Using the website for classified ads called Craigslist, police say they made contact with Linda Schmidt, of West Chester, and Cindy Raisor, Andrea Lawson and Cherri Okoli, of Cincinnati.
"What we did is that we contacted the women who were advertising and they would come to the motel. So we just had to provide them with the motel room to come to," explained Chief Kreinest.
One after another the women were arrested.
"What they're doing is basically advertising for massages or dances, that sort of thing and they're not permitted to be up there doing that," continued Chief Kreinest.
The chief argues that even if the women were just dancing, they don't have the proper licensure to do business.
Unrelated to the sting, police also arrested 34-year-old Angela Eversole, of Fort Wright.
Investigators say she was entertaining 50-year-old Kenneth Nowak, of Avon, Indiana.
Eversole's boyfriend, however, says his girlfriend isn't a prostitute, that she was actually cheating on him.
"She's wrong for cheating on me, but that's what she was doing, so far as that goes. She definitively isn't a prostitute. I know that for sure, because she's cheating on me," explained 22-year-old Anthony Schaffner.
Chief Kreinest says other agencies were assisting in the operation so they might learn and conduct similar stings elsewhere in Northern Kentucky.
