Wanted: Apple Pie Bakers

Entries are being sought for the annual Apple Pie Baking Contest in Vevay, Indiana.

The contest occurs during the Sleepy Hollow Art & Crafts Festival on October 3 from 8am-4pm in downtown Vevay. 

First place wins $100, second $50, with third place winning $25 in cash awards. The top three apple pies that excel in both presentation and taste will be selected as the winners.

Baked pies should be dropped off at the Switzerland County Visitors Center located at 128 West Main Street in Downtown Vevay between 10 and 11:30 a.m. The public is invited to enter and there is no entry fee.

Judging will begin at noon and will feature media celebrity judge Tony Mirones from WCPO-Channel 9 in Cincinnati.
