The World Wildlife Fund is strongly condemning a Brazilian marketing company's ad made for the environmental group that shows planes crashing into the New York City skyline.
The ad suggests that many more people died in the 2004 tsunami than in the 9/11 attacks, and shows scores of planes headed into buildings to stress the point.
“WWF reiterates our strong condemnation and repudiation of this offensive and tasteless ad and reaffirms that no one in the US organization had any knowledge or any role in the ad’s creation and expresses its regret for any pain it may have caused 9-11 victims and their families," said Carter Roberts, President of WWF U.S.
The ad has since appeared on You Tube, and other sites. To view it, click on the link attached to this story.
