There was a major sign of progress Monday for a woman seriously injured by a rock thrown at a car along Columbia Parkway.

Family and friends say 23-year-old Joyce Baresel has been released from the hospital.

Earlier this month, she was riding in a car with a friend when a rock went through a window and hit her in the forehead.

She suffered multiple injuries, including a fractured skull.

In the meantime, police may have DNA evidence that could eventually link a suspect to the crime.

Police have not made any arrests.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (513)352-3040 or text tips to (513)352-3050.
