LEXINGTON, Ky. - University of Kentucky football players are tackling more than their teammates in practice this week.
Eight players sat out Wednesday's practice - most with with flu symptoms, even though three key players returned. Wildcat LB Micah Johnson, TB Alfonso Smith and OG Christian Johnson returned to the field after missing Tuesday's practice.
QB Mike Hartline has also been participating in drills, but it's still unclear if he'll be back this season. He suffered an MCL tear against South Carolina Oct. 10.
Kentucky faces Eastern Kentucky on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Commonwealth Stadium. Fewer than 300 tickets are available for the matchup.
