NEW RICHMOND, Oh. -- An investigation is underway after a deadly crash in Clermont County.
The crash killed two people. It happened around 9:15 p.m. Friday night.
Officials say a pickup truck lost control and crashed into a tree in the 2200 block of State Route 232 in New Richmond.
Police say the victims, James Koehler, Jr., and James Keller, were trapped in the heavily damaged pickup truck.
Rescue crews called a medical helicopter to take the victims to the hospital, but it was too late.
Koehler, Jr. and Keller, both 23 years old, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in the crash.
