A Tri-State trucker is due to get his first court hearing Monday morning, on charges of kidnapping and raping a teenage girl in his truck last week.
Additional details could be released about the alleged attack during a video arraignment of 41-year old Steven Toy in Butler County Court.
West Chester Police arrested Toy last week after reportedly finding him hiding in the attic of his home on Cindy Lou Court.
According to police, Toy was supposed to take a 16-year-old female relative from Colerain Township for a ride in his tractor trailer Thursday night.
Investigators say he picked the girl up in a car and took her to an area off Cincinnati-Dayton Road, where his truck was parked. That's where police say the alleged attack occurred.
The teenager was able to escape and ran to a nearby day care center to get help. Police say the girl's hands were bound.
Friends of Steven Toy say they can't believe the charges against him.
He's expected to go before a judge via video at the old Butler County Courthouse around 10 a.m Monday, while he remains in custody at the Butler County Jail in Hamilton.
