Good Morning, It's Thursday November 12, 2009
CHAD BEING CHAD
It's amazing how hard Chad Ocho Cinco works at getting attention. A lot of PR departments could learn a lot from this guy.
THE CONDIMENT CAPER
First Chad twittered that he was going to send some mustard to the Steelers at Heinz Field because "they'll never ketchup when we play Sunday". Marvin Lewis didn't appreciate his generosity or his cleverness. He shut down the mustard express. Replied Chad, "That's the way to spoil the fun, Boss man."
COVERING CHAD
Chad then employed Plan B. He posted a sign on his locker that read: "It is against NFL policy to cover Chad Ocho Cinco man-to-man. It has always been a rule, but with the events of last year, we have forgotten who he was. He is still the most uncoverable receiver in the league. This rule is for the safety of embarrassment to all defensive backs."
DISAPPOINTMENT
Ryan Clark, who plays defensive back for the Steelers was disappointed that Chad's shipment of mustard was derailed. Said Clark, "I've got three kids to feed. That's one less trip to the grocery store I need to make."
HOPE I DIDN'T JINX THEM
For the first time in at least 20 years, I put in a preliminary order for Super Bowl credentials. Wednesday was the NFL's deadline. You only get them if your team goes.

The Coaches Trophy is making a tour stop in Cincinnati this week. It's the trophy given to the college football team that wins the national championship. POSE WITH THE TROPHY
Fans can pose with the trophy. It's free. The trophy will be open for public viewing and pictures at two Kroger stores on Friday. It will be at the Middletown store from Noon until 2pm, then at the Mitchell Avenue Exit Kroger Store from 3-5pm. You can't touch it. Charley nearly fainted when I got close to it.
SLUGGING IN SEATTLE
Junior Griffey will play at least one more season with the Mariners. He signed a one year deal on Wednesday. Griffey says he'll do whatever they want him to do.
