The lights will shine brightly on football fields all over Kentucky tonight.  Five Northern Kentucky schools are still alive, two will play at home tonight.

Simon Kenton would seem to have the toughest task, travelling to 6A powerhouse Louisville St. Xavier.  Both teams are 11-1, so don't expect the Pioneers to be intimidated.

Newport Central Catholic also travels to Louisville. The Thoroughbreds will be at DeSales, a winner over Holy Cross a week ago.

Highlands has been unbeatable so far this season, and don't look for Johnson Central to pose a serious threat when the two teams meet in a 5A matchup in Fort Thomas.

The only contest that features two local teams is Bellevue at Beechwood, a battle of Tigers.  Beechwood won the regular season matchup schools 20-8.  Beechwood never loses at this stage of the playoffs and don't expect it to happen tonight.
