Later today, one of the teens involved in a deadly pipe bomb explosion will get his first court hearing.
Nineteen-year-old Robert Moser faces involuntary manslaughter and explosives charges in connection with his friend's death last week in West Chester.
Moser has been free on bond since he and two younger teenagers were arrested for their roles in a pipe bomb prank that took the life of their close friend, Daniel Ferraro.
Ferraro, a 19-year old Eagle Scout and Miami University student, died after being hit with a piece of the pipe bomb he's alleged to have built along with moser and two younger boys.
Police say Moser and Ferraro bought the materials to assemble a pipe bomb.
Neighbors have told 9News that both teens were well known for setting off firecrackers and other small fireworks.
Moser is accused of lighting the fuse that caused the deadly explosion that took Ferraro's life.
It happened even though all the teenagers were about 120-feet away from where the pipe bomb went off.
The two younger teen boys will have a separate hearing at Butler County Juvenile Court later this month.
The 1 p.m. court hearing for Moser in an Area 3 Courtroom in West Chester comes within two days of a visitation and memorial service for Ferraro a service where Ferraro's parents told friends and family, they hold no ill will toward the teenager over what happened to their son.
