MASON, Ohio -- Tri-State residents planning to head to King's Island over the holiday weekend will likely not get to enjoy one of the park's most popular attractions.
The Son of Beast has been closed since June 16, and it seems it will remain that way a while longer.
The amusement park voluntarily shut down the roller coaster after a woman claimed she suffered a head injury on the ride.
Although the woman alleges her injury happened on May 31, park officials say she did not immediately report it to them. King's Island officials say they immediately closed the ride upon learning of the possible problem.
The Ohio Department of Agriculture is investigating the claim.
