Last Update: 5/31 11:56 am
HARRODSBURG, Ky. (AP) -- A small-town doctor has been charged with murdering his wife by hitting her with a pontoon boat last week at Herrington Lake.

Dr. Steven Hall, 46, of Harrodsburg, has been charged with murder for allegedly running over his wife, Isabel Hall, while she was in the water, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported. Hall is being held at the Boyle County detention center with no bond and is scheduled for a video arraignment Tuesday.

Hall was unable to be reached for comment. A woman who answered the phone at the couple's residence identified herself as Isabel's sister and declined comment.

Boyle County Coroner Dr. James Ramey told the newspaper the boat's propeller struck Mrs. Hall in her head and arm.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Chris Lanham said the incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
