Tri-State residents will get a chance to support a local fallen soldier on Thursday afternoon.

Clermont County Commissioner Bob Proud says citizens are encouraged to stand along a processional route to pay tribute to Marine Staff Sergeant Tony Wojciechowski.

The 25-year-old Glen Este High School graduate was killed last week in Iraq.

The body of the fallen Marine is scheduled to arrive at Lunken Airport at 2 p.m. on Thursday.

There will then be a processional from the airport to Nurre Funeral Home in Amelia. The processional will bring Wojciechowski past several locations that were important in his life including Glen Este High School.

The visitation is Friday, May 8 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Christian Church at 4183 Mt. Carmel-Tobasco Road. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 9 at 10 a.m. The burial at Mt. Moriah Cemetery will be private.

“Clermont County will always remember and honor Staff Sergeant Wojciechowski; his life, service and sacrifice,” said Commissioner Proud.
