A published report says USC men's basketball coach Tim Floyd paid cash to a man who help deliver former North College Hill prep star O.J. Mayo to the Trojans.

The report is being featured on Yahoo! Sports.  The information comes from Louis Johnson, a former member of Mayo's social circle.

Johnson has told NCAA investigators and the feds that Floyd paid at least $1,000 to Rodney Guillory, a man who has been linked to giving Mayo gifts during his time at USC, the report states.

Such an act would mean a major violation for USC's basketball program, which is already under investigation along with the university's football program.

Mayo was a standout during his junior year at North College Hill before moving to West Virginia to finish his high school career.

He ended up playing just one year at USC, before heading to the NBA.
