NEW YORK (AP) -- Regis Philbin gets a new hip today. Philbin says he hurt his hip taking a fall while filming an episode of "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire."
He tells AP Radio that he never noticed that the floor is eight inches lower than the platform where he sits with the contestants. Philbin says an MRI shows he has "bone on bone in the hip and a lot of arthritis in there." He says he's "limping around and can't wait to get this thing done."
Philbin hopes to be back on the show in three to six weeks.
