Cincinnati Reds Hall of Famer Joe Morgan is getting into the car business.
Dignitaries used shovels with handles shaped like baseball bats to break ground for Joe Morgan Honda in Monroe.
The dealership will open next summer off of I-75.
Morgan is partnering with the man he bought his first car from, John Voss, who also owns nine other dealerships.
Morgan says he believes the economy is on the upswing and says he's proud of the location.
"We found this was perfect between here, close to Cincinnati and not that far from Dayton and on I-75,” said Morgan. “I don't think you can get better. We've got all the new malls and all that going in here."
Morgan says he plans to spend a lot of time in the area so he can be very involved in the dealership.
