Hey there naistewart, or nasty wart...whatever. I am NOT selfish! I give to charites that I want to give to! I have lost my healthcare before so I bought some for about 125.00 a month, no big deal! It covers major problems. I DO NOT go to work EVERY day to support bums, illegals, and welfare people! I have my OWN bills! I bet you love janine gorofolo!? You seem like you are just as liberal and STUPID as she is. Get a job and shut up!!

Sorry, I didn't pull down far enough. Foolishness was posted by someone else. Apologies newfdog, your post is correct.

The only ignorance is people who can't figure out what will happen once universal health care is FREE!! (If you think it is expensive now, just wait till it's free.) And newfdog, that is a STUPID statement. NO ONE goes somewhere else for an operation. THEIR OWN CITIZENS ARE DYING because they are DENIED health care. It is RATIONED! I can't argue with someone who has NO GRIP on reality. TAKE YOUR MEDS (while you still can).

Newfdog, that is funny that u think it is a "choice" to have a child in this day when the anti-abortion forces (Domino's owner pays men to sit at every Planned Parenthood site to challenge every woman who enters even tho she's not pregnant) with harassment) do everything possible to keep women powerless and poor. How many women do you know who have no health care? Not many, I guess. On top of that, your prejudice then attacks Mexicans. Good one, Newfdog. Attack the poor, the weak and the sick. That is the typical bully. Then you attack those who have suffered malpractice. Why don't you attack the CEO's or the Medical Industrial Complex? Or, the multi-trillion-dollar insurance industry all by itself? Don't you think that these dudes earn a wee-bit too much money?...as in $30 million plus perks up the ying-yang? These CEO's get perks like homes and planes and stock options like you wouldn't believe. So, Newfdog, are you an insurance salesman?

Heres an idea for health care and how to pay for it. Get rid of tax credits and the thousands of dollars handed out to people who don't pay taxes in the first place. (That includes the child tax credit) It was a choice to have a child, you should be able to support them without Uncle Sam giving you a couple grand back. We apparently need those tax dollars. Put a cap on malpractice lawsuits and I guarantee the cost of going to the hospital will drop dramatically. Which will lower the cost of health insurance. How many of the 50 million people without health care in this country are illegal aliens? or adults between the ages of 20-30 who voluntarily choose to not have coverage, and would rather have a 400dollar a month car payment and not pay 200 a month of health insurance.

Cranky, ONLY the very rich might come here for an operation. DUH. Otherwise, it is just the opposite--Americans are going to Mexico and Canada and India, etc., for operations they need but can't afford here.... Every American is just one day away from no health insurance. Maybe tomorrow, or the next day, it will be you, or your brother, or your daughter, or your granddaughter. It is a terrible lesson to have to learn in reality.

naistewart - 6/25/2009 4:27 PM
These are freak selfish, hateful and greedy people. Not the norm here in America thank GOD. It is not okay to love money more than people. Wait until you lose your healthcare. This is ignorance, nothing more.

cranky - 6/25/2009 3:19 PM
Everything these people do (the lib polticians and their defenders here) rely on victimhood, over and over again. And I am SO surpised to hear how we are LACKING in health care!!! I guess SOME people have no idea how many people come here and from HOW MANY OTHER COUNTRIES, to see AMERICAN doctors. (Don't look behind that curtain!!!)

The corporate media--in this case Channel 9--reports "nearly 250 protesters." There are only about 70 in the picture. Count them yourself. The protestors and their alpha males on Wall Street and in the the health unsurance industry are a predatory pack, preying upon the sick and the uninsured. But like the wolves in Yellowstone, they are only a small number, amusing to watch--provided we keep them away from our children and our loved ones.

Whoa! The vitriol in these comments are really something--mostly scare tactics of the RNC & the Medical Industrial Complex. The fact is that all the other first world countries have universal health care and have far better outcomes than we in the U.S. have. They all live longer and have far few babies & mothers die in childbirth than in the U.S. Universal health care is not rocket science. The health un-surance companies would like you to think that it is, but all that needs to be done is to look at the way it is done in all the other first-world countries and choose the best of the best. We are all now paying more than TWICE what all these other countries pay, $8,000 per person, and what for? Where does that money go? That money goes in $millions to CEO salaries & perks, millions in dividends to stockholders, in Congressional Political Campaigns (aka, bribes), $Billions in advertising, esp drugs, $ Billions in unnecessary duplicate devices/machines and the salespeople that sell them. The Canadians love their healthcare--sure it's not perfect, but nothing is, and they wouldn't give it up for anything..., or they would have voted it out by now. All the other first world countries would have voted out universal health care if it didn't work. And right now, I'd rather pay the premiums for a public option than pay the higher premiums for all the lavish salaries of the corporate private insurance companies.
