I agree with Dubbz....just because he's an addict does not in any way EXCUSE his behaviors while being addicted. I am in recovery and I had to PAY for my crimes too. That is just part of the recovery process. We mustn't never use drugs as an excuse for our crimes or else the whole world would be committing heinous crimes and using the "I'm hooked on drugs" as their defense and then not getting any jail time !!! Thats just pure craziness people !!! From my understanding and by his own admission, he ripped off alot of people and they have every right to be angry and want him to be punished for what he did to them. If you aint sober now, get sober in prison Ken ! Best to ya ! End of story.

Screw rehab, they have a hospital ward to treat any reactions he may have in jail. Just because he's an addict and has problems doesn't mean he be excused from the punishment his behavior warranted end of story.

I know a couple of people addicted to prescription drugs. I think the doctors need to analyze more of what they prescribe people. Good people have been eatin up by this addiction. I know personally that to come off prescription drugs you need doctors supervision. I almost lost my daughter to prescription drugs and she is not a racist or a bad person for that matter. The doctors prescribe these pills for pain knowing full well that they are additive. This man definately needs help with his addition. I am a firm believer that rehab is where he needs to be. It saved my daughters life.....

I understand he needs help but he needs to pay restitution first, just like everybody else does. Just because he has helped some people since he was caught should mean nothing. It wouldn't for anyone else. Lawson, pay for your crime, think about all the people you hurt, then worry about yourself. In that order for a change.
