A high profile lawyer who pleaded guilty to federal drug charges could learn his fate Wednesday morning.
Ken Lawson is expected to be sentenced on those charges when he appears in federal court at 10 a.m.
Lawson pleaded guilty last fall to conspiracy to obtain controlled substances. Prosecutors say he told a doctor that he could make a criminal investigation go away, if the doctor paid him $50,000, and provided prescription drugs to friends and some family members, who would then give them to him.
Lawson says he became addicted to the painkillers Oxycontin and Percocet after hurting himself lifting weights.
