Police are looking for a male suspect after a gas station was robbed Friday morning.

Officials say the suspect entered the Shell Gas Station on Kember Meadow Drive just before 8 a.m.

The suspect allegedly approached the two female clerks and showed them an unknown sharp object. Police say he forced one of the women to open the cash register, he took cash, then fled the scene. The suspect was last seen running towards a older, small, two-door red car parked in the Promenade Shopping Center.

Police describe the suspect as:
  • African American man
  • In his late 30's or early 40's
  • 5'08'' tall, medium build
  • Wearing a black hood sweatshirt and blue jeans
  • Wearing a black do-rag covering his face
Forest Park Police believe the suspect is also responsible for the aggravated robbery that took place at the Forest Park Pony Keg on Northland Boulevard on March 24.
