Fairfield police are asking for help from the public to identify a man who was seriously injured in a bicycle accident on Wednesday.
Officials believe the man suffered a severe head injury during the accident on Firestone Drive around 1:30 p.m.
Police say neighbors witnessed what happened.
"They said that he was traveling down Firestone Drive, a steep hill on his bicycle. He started to wobble and just lost it," said Officer Tom Lucas, of the Fairfield Police Department.
The victim, who is believed to be in his mid 20s, may possibly be developmentally disabled. He is about 6'2" tall, weighs between 250-260 pounds, with short, dark hair and a trimmed beard.
Police say he was wearing black nylon shorts, a gray sports shirt and a Sponge Bob lanyard with a single key around his neck.
The victim was riding a blue Huffy Tundra bike, according to police.
The man is now being treated at University Hospital.
"Hopefully somebody calls soon. I'm sure he would like to have somebody there with him," Lucas said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Fairfield Police Department at (513) 829-8201.
