Do any of you people ever ask why or what the story is behind all this. I know this man and this report can ruin a great person.. Get all the facts straight before you write any news at least tell the whole thing

To the writer of this story: You are clearly a one-dimensional, close-minded, gossip-driven columnist who has no clue how to complete a story. Why would a man do this? What is his background? Do you know this man? Kevin Fay has been an angel to everyone who knows him. He has a heart of gold, but has an incurable disease called Multiple Sclerosis that is eating away at his nerves. Yes, it was a very stupid move. But recall the last time you were desperately in pain... His judgement was warped by the burning in his nervous system, which, in case you didnt know, focuses on the brain. He didnt steal anything. He already had possesion of the prescription. He had been taking care of his mother who had bone cancer for months prior. I dont know how you can sleep at night publishing stories that suggest that good- natured people perform these acts out of spite or deceit. Get the whole story and then write the the whole truth. A rape victim kills her offender.. do you write the story without mentioning the rape??? What you have written could have a abominable impact on this man, his business and his family. This man did not hurt anyone, and would never hurt anyone. Go back to journalism school... or better yet, I hear they are hiring at UDF in Terrace Park.

feh42, your son's antibiotic prescription was for a drug still under patent protection; hydrocodone has been around long enough to be available as a generic drug (the patents have expired). There are plenty of good antibiotics available that aren't patent-protected, but our feed-me-pills, doctor society has made many of them grossly ineffective. For some infections, you simply must use the latest and greatest. While this may sound "unfair" at first blush, the years a new drug is sold under patent protection provide the only real profits for drug manufacturers, and they also provide the only incentive to continue developing the incredible medications we have access to today. There's not a manufacturer on this planet who would/could complete the development effort a new painkiller, antibiotic, antiviral, or chemotherapy agent requires without the *possibility* (not a guarantee, mind you) of a decent reward if the work pans out. $4 a pop at Kroger doesn't buy research and development, only the marginal costs of maintaining production of a drug already whose development has already been paid for. Btw, most of the folks scamming painkillers aren't even paying budget Rx rates. We're funding their free prescriptions through Medicaid and other programs, and they're converting them to hard cash on the street.

You got to call around to doctors but you can find it on the streets, aint that crazy. its just like the methadone. its addicting also but they say it works. Fu#k it all. It will only get worse before it gets better. Believe me, its an everyday struggle

where is there a doc for suboxen?

c mcphearsn - 5/18/2009 2:09 PM
if you want to come off pain killers like percocet, which i am, then a alternative is suboxone, but you have to pay 400 bucks to see a doc and the wait is like two weeks. That will never happen cause i will just fall into the percocet trap because the withdrawls are hell. Day two and i feel like crap. But i dont have 400 bucks or can i wait two to three weeks.
