While employees were earning an honest paycheck a few feet away police say suspect was stealing from them as they worked.

Union Township police have arrested a man they say stole credit cards from several people and used them at area stores.

"Starting back in April of this year we'd started receiving reports of thefts from employees at our local retail stores," said Sgt. Scott Blankenship of the Union Township Police Department.

Investigators say Patrick Henry snuck into employee lounges and stole credit cards from the purses of workers. Police say he used the stolen credit cards at multiple locations to purchase cigarettes.

"Our investigation show that he didn't want to be too noticed and with him getting a couple of cartons of cigarettes he was able to stay under that radar," explained Blankenship.

Henry is charged with three felonies and sits in the Clermont County Jail on a $20,000 cash bond.

Police also say he is responsible for thefts all over Hamilton County as well.

Sringdale police and Fairfax police have charges against Henry that they will file in the coming days.

Police say that Henry would sneak into the employee lounges of stores like the biggs and Toys 'R' Us in Eastgate. In one case, police say he even used a bolt cutter to open lockers where employees kept their belongings.

"The suspect would go into these areas where these employees put their personal belongings and he would cut the locks off these lockers and take their purses their wallets," continued Blankenship.

Henry is due back in court July 15 for a preliminary hearing.

The investigation is ongoing and involves multiple jurisdictions.

Anyone with information about potential victims or knowledge of the above crime, is asked to call the Union Township Police Department at (513) 752-1230.
