COVINGTON, Ky. -- Covington police say an argument between roommates got out of hand overnight, and ended with one of them stabbed in the back.

The incident allegedly began as a verbal argument between two men at the home they share in the 300 block of Orchard Street. According to police, the men were drinking when they got into a fight over the music volume around 2:30 Thursday morning.

Officials say one of the roommates punched the other. The injured man reportedly went in the home and told two other roommates about the altercation before going down the street to call police.

He reportedly returned to the home a short time later to find one of those other roommates stabbed in the back by the same attacker.

Police arrested the roommate suspected in the two attacks. No names have been released.
