In just a few minutes a West Chester family will see the results of an Extreme Home Makeover.

Crews have worked around the clock for a week to demolish the Akers family's old home on Manor Drive and build a new handicapped accessible one in its place.

On Wednesday it was all about the little details and adding the accessories to the house on Manor drive.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's Ty Pennington has some advice for people who want to be there.

"I think tomorrow's (Thursday) going to be a really hot and humid day, so I'd bring an umbrella for shade, bring lots of water," said Ty, "because when you stand next to lots of people – it gets a little humid, to say the least."

"So, just be prepared and be patient," he added.

"You know, sometimes we need to get this shot and that shot, but it is one of the greatest moments ever when you're there and the family actually sees it for the first time," said Ty. "There's nothing like it."

Shuttle service began at 6:30 Thursday morning from the Voice of America Museum in West Chester.

The show's producers advised people to come early and plan to wait in line.

Those wishing to watch were also encouraged to wear sunscreen and a hat, plus bring water and some food when you come.
