Bond has been set for the suspect accused shooting a man several times.
A Hamilton County Judge set Mark Pickens bond at $850,000.
It was back on March 27 when Pickens allegedly shot 20-year-old Anthony Jones at 900 West Ninth Street.
According to police reports, Jones was "shot numerous times, causing serious physical injury." Relatives say Jones did not cooperate withpolice, allowing Pickens to remain a free man.
Pickens has been named as a 'Person of Interest' in the murders of a 19-year-old woman, her nine-month-old baby, and a three-year-old girl.
Jones is the father of the nine-month old baby killed Tuesday.
"Mark Pickens was picked up at his residence at 400 W. 9th Street. He was taken to CIS where he was interviewed throughout the day. At this point, he has been charged with a felonious assault and weapons under disability charge from the March 27 felonious assault,” said Lt. Briede.
He has not been charged with the murders of Noelle Washington, Anthony Jones or Sharailyn Wright.
Pickens is at the Hamilton County Justice Center, being held on charges from the earlier shooting incident.
