Pedestrian Struck By Car In Mt. Washington

MOUNT WASHINGTON, Ohio -- A man is listed in serious condition after he was struck by a car in Mount Washington Friday evening.

Police say 23-year-old Joshua Fritz was hit as he crossed the intersection at Beechmont Avenue and Ranchvale Drive at 7:10 p.m.

Police say Fritz suffered serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital.

The driver, Douglas Wilt, 61, did stop after the accident and was not injured, according to police.

Beechmont Avenue between Roxbury Street and Elstun Road had to be shut down for several hours while police investigated.

The accident remains under investigation.
