MIAMI (AP) -- Sarah Palin says a woman would be good for the Republican presidential ticket in four years.

Palin is in Florida for a meeting of Republican governors.

She's also continuing her whirlwind series of postelection TV interviews.

She's taking part in a panel discussion tomorrow entitled: "Looking Towards the Future: The GOP in Transition."

And Palin was asked Wednesday about speculation that she is the party's future.

The Alaska governor replied, "I don't think it's me personally, I think it's what I represent."

She said she means "everyday hardworking American families."

Palin says that's what a woman would bring to the ticket.

As to whether it's a priority of hers to get on the national ballot again, Palin spoke only of the priority of "serving the constituents of the state of Alaska."
