Two employees of a local paving company are under arrest for an unusual scam that reportedly ripped off both their customers and their employer.

Police arrested 51-year-old Michael Guintini of Bright, Indiana and 31-year-old Adam Thompson of Springfield Township on Tuesday for a scam that allegedly took place last November.

The pair were employed by the Barrett Paving Company in Cleves when they allegedly sold asphalt jobs to local companies who paid in cash.  Instead of collecting the money for the company, police say the men kept the cash.

According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, the men stole $5,000 in two days.

Police say they admitted to the crimes.

Both men were arraigned Wednesday morning.
