WEST CHESTER -- An 18-year-old man is behind bars and a 17-year-old male is wanted in connection with the deadly stabbing of a teenage girl in West Chester.

Police arrested Khrendon Gray of Springfield Township early Friday morning and charged him with one count of murder. He appeared in court on Friday where a judge set his bond at $1 million.

Gray is accused of fatally stabbing 15-year-old Amber Robinson Thursday evening.

On Friday afternoon, West Chester police issued an arrest warrant for 17-year-old Rashon Martin of Forest Park. The warrant is for complicity to commit murder in connection to the death of Robinson. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Martin is asked to call the West Chester Police Department at (513)777-2231.

Investigators say it all started as a large fight involving dozens of teenagers in a parking lot in the area of Triangle Drive and Westwind Court around 8:15 p.m.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Robinson suffering from a stab wound. Crews rushed her to Mercy Fairfield Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The relationship between Robinson and Gray is not yet known.

According to neighbors, Robinson used to live in the complex where the stabbing happened, but had recently moved and was back visiting Thursday night.

Robinson was a sophomore at Lakota West High School.  Grief counselors were at the school on Friday, and will be there again next week, to talk with students and staff.

While in court, Gray maintained his innocence saying, "I was not going to plead guilty to something I did not do." His next court appearance is a preliminary hearing next Tuesday.
