The Ohio Renaissance Festival is celebrating its 20th year of merriment.

On Saturdays and Sundays from September 5 to October 25, you can step back in time and enjoy all the festivities.

The festivals run from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Harveysburg, Ohio on State Route 73.

There are themed weekends including the Barbarian Invasion weekend which will feature an explosive blend of bass drums, bohdrans and bagpipes from Albannach.  Oktoberfest and the Feast of Fools weekend also will have specialty features.

This year's festival will have new entertainment.  Father, Son and Friends will perform traditional Celtic songs and the Bedlam Girls will also make an appearance.  The pirates and the nobles present a somewhat famous play in 3-quarter acts during the Pirate Comedy Stunt Show.  And Shakespeare, Marlowe & Burbage will grace the village with impromptu plays.

In addition to those giant turkey legs the festival is well known for, you can get British food in the Aleing Knight Pub.

The price for adults is $19.99 a ticket and children between five and 12-years-old can get in for $9.99.  Children under five are free.  Discounts can be found at the festival Web site.  Parking is only $2.

And don't forget, you can always have a little more fun if you dress up.  Costumes are always welcome at this festival.
