Ohio and Kentucky are among the top ten most obese states in the nation.
The annual obesity report released Wednesday by Trust for America's Health ranks Ohio 10th and Kentucky 7th.
According to the report, Ohio's adult obesity rate is 28.6 percent. Ohio ranked 17th last year. The obesity rate for people from 10 to 17 is even higher at 33.3 percent. The group ranked Ohio 15th for overweight young people.
Obesity rates among adults rose in 23 states over the past year . No states obesity rate decreased in the last year.
Indiana ranks 16th with an adult obesity rate of 27.4 percent.
Mississippi is the fattest state with an adult obesity rate of 32.5 percent and Michigan ranks second.
