NEWPORT, Ky. - One person is dead and another is in custody after a stabbing in Newport Wednesday morning.
Officers were called to a home on West 10th Street around 6 a.m.
Chief Robbie Hall says they took 35-year-old Richard Dickerson of Detroit, Michigan, into custody. Dickerson is being charged with manslaughter
No information about the victim is being released at this time.
Hall says the investigation is ongoing.
