SYCAMORE TWP., Ohio -- Investigators are trying to figure out whether a driver died from a car crash last night, or if a medical condition claimed his life.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says the driver suffered "a cardiac event" around 11:15 p.m. last night at 7051 Fields Ertel Road, but have yet to say whether that event killed him before impact, or if injuries in the accident are to blame.

Deputies say 56-year-old Steven Giani of Fairfield Township was pulling out his 1999 Buick Lesabre from an apartment complex when he struck the curb several times, crossed over the road, and struck a brick pillar.

He later died at Bethesda North Hospital.
