State budget problems have forced another round of layoffs at Hamilton County Job and Family Services.
About 40 employees that work as support personnel received word on Wednesday that they were losing their jobs.
Layoffs at the county agency began back in November.
Since then roughly 400 people have been laid off.
The cuts come as the county is seeing more people asking for help.
"We're like everybody else,” said Brian Gregg, spokesperson for HCJFS. “We've got to live within our means and you've seen mass layoffs at businesses and layoffs at JFS around the state and we're just in the same boat as everyone else."
Gregg adds that those in need of certain services may notice a longer wait for response time due to the budget cuts, but they're working to try and keep the impact at a minimum.
