An East Price Hill mother is accused of not only using her child to help shoplift, but actually leaving the child behind as security guards swooped in.
The incident allegedly happened Saturday night at the Target store on
Glencrossing Way in Western Hills.
Police say 18-year-old Asia Jordan stuffed more than $300 worth of unpaid merchandise in the stroller with her 2-year-old daughter.
According to officials, when store security began pursuing Jordan, she took off, leaving her daughter behind.
Jordan was arrested a short time later.
She was arraigned Monday afternoon on charges of theft and child endangering.
Jordan was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to return to court on January 26.
