The Warren County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly tried to entice a child in Deerfield Township on Monday.

Investigators say a man approached an 11-year-old boy at a school bus stop on Stony Hollow Court and asked the child if he would like to get in his van.

"This individual pulled up along side the young boy, made some mention of playing video games, and the boy refused to get in the van and the driver went on," said Sheriff Larry Sims.

The suspect is described as:

  • White
  • 50 to 60 years old
  • Tall
  • Pale complexion
  • Muscular build
  • Bald
  • Dark mustache
  • Was wearing glasses and a torn white t-shirt

The suspect's vehicle is described as a small, older white van with white curtains in the windows and rusting on the sides. The van also made a squealing or chirping noise while it was running.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Warren County Sheriff's Office at (513)695-1280, Crime Stoppers at (513)352-3040 or text tips to (513)352-3050.
