I can say that I seen both of them out the night that this happened. They both were having a great time, laughing and enjoying their night. I do believe that this was an accident. I can understand why he put her in the car after it happened. He might have thought that he could get her to the hospital in time. He was apparently not from Hebron and what it sounds like he got on the wrong highway. It is kinda of confusing by the airport if you dont know the area. It makes me upset because everyone is always quick to judge someone. I feel horrible that this happened and my heart goes out to both of the families.

I can't believe how insensitive some of the comments are. Carisa was obviously in a situation she could not control, but perhaps thought she could. That's how domestic violence works - they do terrible things, then apologize, then the next time the ante is upped and what they do to the victim is more terrible - all of the time brainwashing the victim into thing all of their DV is love expressed incorrectly and the victim thinks she can keep it from getting out of hand. Also, when there are children involved, they are often used as tools by the abuser to further subjugate the victim and to keep the victim from leaving. I hope the family of the victim seeks help at this time - Parents of Murdered Children (www.pomc.org) comes to mind, they are headquartered in Cincinnati. The police obviously don't think this is an accident - I hope this guy goes to prison, I don't believe a word of his shady story. I hope they are able to find witnesses.

I agree with you TerriJane. It's unbelievable after he already assaulted her with a vehicle once. Get a life sharded. This is not, nor will ever be a RACE issue. This is DOMESTIC VIOLENCE! Why make it something it's not!?

This could have been a harmless accident - not intentional. Obviously she was seen w/ him before the accident - happy & not scared for her life. This actually happened to me when I was dating my husband. We were both intoxicated, driving down Dixie Hwy @ 40mph. I was getting sick & thought he said we were home; opened the door & out I went. Luckily he didn't run me over - or another car behind us. It is a story we can now laugh about today .... I feel sorry for Mrs. Walz, especially since she lost her life and her children lost their mother.

THis is a horrible tragedy. I seen these two Friday night before the accident happened. She seemed full of energy and happy, he seemed the same way. I dont know what happened in the past with them, but i do honestly believe this was a tragic accident. This definitly was not intentional. My heart goes out to both families.

This: http://www.sentinel-echo.com/local/local_story_324200758.html is what happened to a very good friend of mine. In this case, the boyfriend was slick and refused to talk to the cops at all, destroyed the crime scene, the cops let the case be blown over the holiday weekend, etc., so even though he took her life, he is still free, still has custody of her children and just had a baby with his new girlfriend. Her parents are distraught, nearly three and a half years later. The case remains open with the Kentucky State Police. Those of you who say she should have left - she was trying, as I'm, sure Carisa was. My friend was in the actual process of leaving the guy - on foot, since she had no car, trying to make it to the bus station to leave her killer behind. She never made it. I'm so sick and tired of domestic violence. Paul Walz deserves a lot more than a manslaughter charge on this. Getting justice helps some, but it won't bring Carisa or my friend back.
